The show we call American Idol is called Music Idol in Bulgaria. No different from AI, the Bulgarian show attracts its fair share of hopeless hopefuls during the pre-season audition process. The diva below may not speak English, but she's opted to bust her best Mariah Carey during the audition. Her song? "Ken Lee." Trust me, you've heard it. . .

Another Tattoo Lost in Translation

It happens time and time again. Someone gets a tattoo in Chinese letters and the translation is off the mark. The poor girl below (who looks thirteen) wanted to express her undying love for her boyfriend. Instead, she got a permanent declaration of dumbass inked into her skin, and of all places— down her belly. Given the translation, methinks the tattoo artist knew exactly what he was writing.

Last weekend, we watched some poor chap use his limited Spanish I vocabulary skills to pick up a chick. Persuasive? Not so much. Why didn't the dude use a translator to get the job done in a more eloquent way? This might be why.

Why would you get permanently inked with letters from a foreign language whose meaning you weren't totally sure about? Ask this guy; he'll tell you he regrets getting etched with a message to the world that says he menstruates and wishes he didn't: "Stop Woman Flow."
