I
was surprised at how much I ended up enjoying
Four Christmases starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, and maybe some of the early buzz from others who also liked it helped the holiday comedy win the Thanksgiving weekend box office this year
with an estimated $46.7 million since opening Wednesday.
Meanwhile the highly anticipated Baz Luhrmann epic
Australia opened at No. 5 after
Quantum of Solace in fourth place,
Twilight (which passed the $100 million mark this weekend) in third, and
Bolt in second place.

In my
Twilight gadget rundown from the other day, I noticed in the comments some mentions about Bella's tech being upgraded to reflect the year. Instead of 2004's old desktop and dial-up connection, she had a
2008-era black MacBook and fast Internet.
Her lack of a regular cell phone in the book wasn't a glaring error in 2004, but in 2008, the filmmakers would have been remiss in not giving her a phone when every teen has one.

Robert Pattinson was out trying to be incognito at a Sushi bar in LA earlier this week, looking rather handsome in his hoodie and hat. My girl Buzz
recently sat down with the British actor to talk about all things
Twilight, and she found him eloquent and thoughtful. There's something about him that doesn't seem to fit the usual teen heartthrob stereotype, though he has definitely become one thanks to his latest role.

When a book has a large, passionate fan base, adapting it to film can be a tricky task. Certain scenes are usually cut from the book, making it nearly impossible to please everyone.
Twilight has been an interesting case.

Welcome back to my
Buzz Gift Guide series for all the entertainment lovers in your life. This week is all about gifting your peers. Yesterday I suggested some
gifts for the Sex and the City fan, and today I've rounded up a few of those gifts that keep on giving: TV- and movie-themed t-shirts.

In this weekend's chart-topping, blood-sucking hit
Twilight, Edward and Bella share an affinity for each other — as well as technology, to my delight.
First we'll start with Bella, who is outfitted with a white
Nokia 7360 (from the appropriately named
L'amour collection). Bella, who we'd already seen as an iPod fan
in the movie and in
real life, also uses a
(now) previous generation black MacBook (and weren't those Google searches about vampires in different cultures astoundingly robust?

Anticipating
Twilight might just be this weekend's big box office winner,
I asked you guys to ring in with some possible box office headline puns for the news this morning. Well,
briggs313's suggestion in the post was awesome, so I went ahead and used it — thanks briggs313!
Twilight's debut on the big screen was a smash success, earning $70.6 million over the weekend and breaking several records.

If you've seen
Twilight by now, or read the book, you know the Cullen family of vampires are the most intriguing kids at school. They only hang with each other, they're all pale and beautiful, they're untouchable. Alice (second from left) is one of the friendliest to Bella, the newest member of "the family."

One of the biggest movie events of the Fall has arrived, and while
you've read some of my initial thoughts on the movie adaptation of the popular books, I'm curious what you all thought of the
Twilight movie.
For those of you who've read the books: Is it what you imagined it would be? Did it satisfy you?
