Some of you restrained yourselves when
I shared the final Project Runway collections in September. Then, it was still six designers in the running, so I witnessed final collections by Joe, Jerell, Suede, Kenley, Korto, and Leanne. I still don't understand why this isn't planned better.

Ah, the
Project Runway finale. It's like my Super Bowl. Luckily for me, it came
twice this year (which is an especially good thing knowing that the
fate of next season is up in the air).

This season,
Project Runway is offering up the original pieces
shown in Bryant Park in an exclusive online auction at
ProjectRunway.com. Items from the auf'ed final contestants, Jerell, Suede, and Joe, are
currently up for auction while the pieces from the three finalists, Kenley, Leanne, and Korto, will post immediately following the season finale tonight at 7 p.m. PST.

Spoiler alert! The last episodes of
Project Runway gave a glimpse into the real lives of the finalists.
Tim pays visits to their hometowns, where they've been working on their final collections for a month.

There's just one week left till the end of the
Project Runway road, and you know what that means: a little thing I like to call Tim Gunn's Couture Tour. This is the episode where Tim travels to each designer's home to critique his or her forthcoming collection, and from that standpoint, this season's version was about what I expected. Luckily, in true ProjRun fashion, they threw the contestants a curve ball .

Let's reminisce.
Project Runway season five is coming to a close, with the final two episodes nearing. It hasn't been the most funny or dramatic season, but it has produced the biggest pool of talent.
Project Runway alum Daniel Vosovic has taken fate into his own hands with his new book,
Fashion Inside Out: Daniel V's Guide to How Style Happens From Inspiration to Runway and Beyond ($20).
In it, Daniel reveals his tips on how to become a successful fashion designer. From connecting with the right people to self promotion, this how-to is an informative easy read.

Is it me or was last night's episode of
Project Runway intense?
Emotions are running high, as they normally do this close to the finale show. I liked the challenge — I love the New York Botanical Gardens (if you haven't been, go) — and the idea of creating evening gowns out of flora.

Last night on
Project Runway, the remaining four designers had to step up and prove themselves (and their designs) to the judges in hopes of moving on to Fashion Week. Of course, we know that they (and two others)
all make it to Bryant Park, but last night it was about discovering who would present his or her collection in the final episode of the season as a contender for the Project Runway win.
I thought each designer would blow me out of the water, especially since the challenge was so basic.

The drama continues: Bravo and Lifetime are still fighting over
Project Runway. The Weinstein Co. has
filed an appeal after a judge ruling in NBC's favor
blocking the show's move from Bravo to Lifetime.
