Seems like
everyone wants to get in their two cents on the new Obama puppy, and even Jon Stewart chimed in with a couple strong contestants that need to take a trip down the "Road to the Doghouse." It's a bumpy path – complete with maverick – watch the video below and see what you think.
Here's the second installment of "the night Barack Obama took over the television." Appearing via satellite on the Daily Show before his 11 p.m. rally with Bill Clinton (so late!) Obama described
his big infomercial to Jon Stewart, re-running Michelle's line about his kids being afraid he was taking over all the TV.

CBS's comedy department is starting to look a little like
The Daily Show, Primetime Edition. Current Daily Show correspondent
Rob Riggle has just signed a deal to create and star in a half-hour CBS comedy, following a
similar deal by Samantha Bee and Jason Jones last week.
Riggle is committed to The Daily Show through the end of the year, but after that, he'll make the jump to CBS to start working on his show.

I love when my favorite
Daily Show correspondents go on to do other cool things, and so I was happy to see this story that
Samantha Bee and Jason Jones are co-writing a CBS comedy project in which they would also star.
Jones and Bee — who are married! I had no idea!
With a ramped up convention, comes amped up comedy. The Daily Show was out in full-force yesterday, with Samantha Bee interviewing the more creatively dressed delegates. In this scene she was doing a little role-play, pretending to be Bristol Palin while the lovely delegate played Sarah.

Wow, this was a total shocker! And I'm not talking about the "Prince Charles might be bisexual" gossip. (Yawn.) I'm talking about Stephen Colbert breaking out of character and laughing his ass off!
Need another sign of the wilting economy? While
employers try to pack two jobs into one employee, things are getting rough in even the poshest places. As those intrepid reporters at The Daily Show prove, the near-recession is putting a wrinkle into the plans of the trout-lipped and smooth-skinned.

If the idiocy pundits are spewing on television is any indication, the political discourse around the upcoming election is pretty low on substance. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart mocks one dude's critique of Obama (based on what proof, we'll probably never know) that he — gasp! — eats arugula.

Who loves Hummers? Rappers and Republicans apparently! After Rep.

Veteran mortgage lender and author of Confessions of a Subprime Lender Richard Bitner was a guest on The Daily Show the other day. Jon Stewart calls the book "fascinating and disturbing" and gets some answers from Bitner about what exactly is a subprime loan and how our lending system became the disaster that it is today.
When discussing why people with less than perfect credit are granted loans with higher interest rates, Stewart jokes, "If you're going to give money to people that have a tough time paying it back, charge them more!
