I am not the only one stoked about the upcoming release of Spore! Geeky celebs are getting in on the action and creating their creatures, too. With the
Sporelebrity challenge, you can vote for your favorite creation brought to you by some pretty hard-hitting stars like Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, and the funny dudes from Flight of the Conchords, just to name a few.

When two bizarre Internet sensations come together, it can be truly diabolical. To wit: The
"Chocolate Rain" deluge meets the
Rick-rollin' downpour in a perfect storm of music and viral videos. This recording of Tay Zonday covering "Never Gonna Give You Up" makes me think Tay should do an entire Rick Astley tribute album, stat.

The boys produce a viral vid and want to cash in on their success, so they report to a governmental office (which doesn't exist in the real world) to collect their pay. Of course, every Internet superstah we've ever ridiculed and enjoyed is up in that joint, waiting to be compensated for the humiliation and exploitation that comes with virtual fame.
Tay Zonday and his big chocolate ego won't shut up,
Tron Guy won't sit down,
The Dramatic Chipmunk really needs to chill, and can someone get
that sneezing panda a friggin' tissue?

Thanks to
Tay Zonday, the little croaker that could,
cherry-chocolate rain is in the air. The viral video star sold out to the Dr. Pepper folks and got bikini-clad backup dancers, rapper sidekicks, and some mouth gold in return.

Well, not really. Our boy is back to tell us he can't dance, which comes as no surprise. I'm just waiting for a song acknowledging that he can't sing either.

It's the viral video that won't die. Not if I can help it, anyway...

You would think a stunt like this would kill a perfectly good running joke, but it doesn't. "Chocolate Rain" still lives on in my book! Watch the following dude order his food to
the beat of Tay Zonday's drummer.

I am seriously busting a gut over here. I know I was supposed to let this phenomenon die, but these spoofs keep coming out!
Chad Vader's version of
Chocolate Rain definitely has the most coherent lyrics.

Yes, I'm obsessed. Internet celeb Tay Zonday,--who, last week, reminded me of
Harry Belafonte--this week reminds me of singer Lena Horne.
