Rock-afire Explosion is proving to be an enduring musical act. This creepy animatronic robot cover band, including a dog and a gorilla, originally played at Showbiz Pizza in the '80s. Their creators, Creative Engineering, now have a
fan bidding contest where you can request to have your favorite song performed by them.

Ah, top 25 lists. I know some people hate to list music in this way because it's so hard (
I know this first hand) to compare albums and favorite songs much less pick favorites. A wise first step for any list maker is to narrow the field by genre, which is what EW recently did to choose
the best indie albums from each year, from 1984 up until the present.

Am very disappointed at the lack of Take That - come on people!! Perhaps you're all more realistic than me, though. The Sharon & Ozzy-hosted ceremony is on TV from 8pm so we shall see how you all did as the winners are revealed!

The Brit Awards countdown continues - just a few hours to go!! And without further ado I present to you the nominees for Best International Album. Who do you think will take the prize out of this merry lot?

Best International Group is the next category on our Brit Awards polls this week. The ceremony is tomorrow on ITV, with build up on ITV2 presented by Emma Griffiths and Matt Willis beforehand. The excitement is building!

Holy wow.
Arcade Fire, the Montreal-based indie-rock band, has released a new video for "Black Mirror," the first song off their second album,
Neon Bible, and it is, for lack of a better term, awesome. When I first saw the
bizarre behind-the-scenes stills for the video, I had to laugh and didn't bother imagining how they'd piece this together.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing
Arcade Fire live
in concert understands how uniquely mesmerizing the band's shows are. The group truly treats its performances like theater, alternating between elegant composure and unhinged brilliance, dressing in stylish "costumes," dancing feverishly (often while wearing heels), and exuding an artful energy that's all too rare.
If you haven't seen them in concert, you'll (sort of) get your chance tonight, when the Arcade Fire's performance on
Austin City Limits airs on PBS.
