awwwwww poor latchkey doggie! at least he's happy, in his oblivion of being young and just wanting to play.... just wait 'till he gets older and he realizes that his parents are shhhhhtttt. These people don't deserve a dog. I only feel good about keeping cats and dogs, if your going to care for them properly. Nothing sadder than a kitty or doggy trying to survive all alone in the wild, not even this poor guy

As a "Dachshund with a ball fetish" owner, I totally get this contraption. Our dog will bring you a ball to play with at every moment of every day. Sleeping? SO! She wants to play! LOL We take her out and play with her many times a day, but that's not enough. If she can find something round she'll bring it to you to throw. I'm not kidding, she's brought us rocks, balls, christmas ornaments and even an Egg once (Don't ask). I would love this little contraption for those moments when she wants to keep playing and my arm wants to fall off. LMAO

OH and Justan, that's an "old" Doxie. See the white on his face? That doesn't happen until they're considered "Elderly"

Genius! I think it attests to the owners caring about the dog, not being bad doggy parents. Caring enough to design and build this contraption for it's entertainment when they're not around.

I don't see what's sad about giving your dog a (probably expensive) toy that will help him play fetch when you're not around. Just because he has this certainly does NOT mean that his owners don't give him attention when they ARE home. That's a silly assumption to make.

aw... it's so hardworking and earnest! good exercise though, if the owners are the busy type.. though it doesn't take away the fact that it's a bit sad.
