Wedding Break Dance

Wow, this is epic. I've seen performances at the VMAs not as coordinated as this one! Any woman who can shake her booty in a stiff, strapless wedding dress gets bonus points in my book. (And I love her geeky hubby giving it all he's got.) Now that gay people can get married in California, maybe straight folks feel they gotta kick their nuptials up a notch! Is a "So You Think You Can Do a Funky Wedding Dance?" competition on television far behind?

This was my least favorite of all the viral wedding dances that seem to be cropping up on the web. They had to have professional dancers back them up, which took away from the couple. Booooooo!

I agree with Gatsby. They can't dance at all and they were actually quite boring in my opinion. I just saw another one 2 days ago that was way more entertaining.

So what if they can't dance? I HATE dancing and would WAY rather do something like this than a regular slow dance. Give the people some credit, they did something fun and different at their wedding.

Whoa whoa whoa, it's so easy to say nasty things when you know nothing of the couple. The B-Girl was the bride's maid-of-honor, the dancers were NOT hired!

Thanks Renees3, I totally agree about the boring hug-and-sway. This couple is pretty special for rehearsing this dance for months to entertain their guests. You'll appreciate them even more when you have a look at this:

For curmudgeons, please try to take a moment to simply be happy for other people; it might brighten your day.

I must admit I didn't get into this one so much, it almost felt deliberate and I did get bored and stopped it before it completed.

The funniest one for me lately has been the one where the married couple imitate "Evolution of Dance". Both husband and wife were quite funny.

It was not about quality of dance for me so much as that there was just something more authentically charming and real about the Evolution one.

    LOL that was great.

I think that this is a great way to have that first dance to appease tradition and your guests for couples who either may not like to dance or don't dance well. Especially if it shows off your personalities as a couple and your style as a couple. I think in this particular case it's even cooler that the "professional" girl dancer was her maid of honor! So cool! Looks like they had fun which is great!

Just had a thought - it will be funny to see what their children's reaction will be years from now when they see this video! I think some might think it's dorky but alot of children would think it was so cool and fun of their parents to do this at their wedding!
