The writers of children's programming place a high priority on making their shows entertaining for adults and children alike — but this is something else. Rainbow, a '70s UK kiddie show, upped the ante on adult entertainment value. The following clip from the "Twangers" episode was a staff joke that was jam packed with innuendo. actually, I think this clip was never aired on public television, but rather made as a prank for some of the people working on the show.

I remember this clip! I saw it a couple of years ago. And like someone else mentioned, I'm pretty sure this didn't actually air. The innuendo is too obvious and noticeable for that to be possible.
