MTV's The Paper: All the Drama That's Fit to Air

The Paper is one of the new shows in MTV's teenybopper reality show lineup. I initially thought the program would serve as an enticing way to get young peeps enthused about a nonathletic, extracurricular activity — one that promotes civic awareness, community involvement, and writing proficiency. I should have known better. The show mainly focuses on the quirkiness of the paper's editor in chief and how nearly everyone under her can't stand her, constantly undermine her, and want to overthrow her. The value of teamwork? Oh, that's been edited out, natch.

    #1 - That guy's a drama queen - but I guess that's why MTV is following him.
#2 - Why is the teacher just standing there? I would have ushered the student out of the room about 5 seconds into his temper tantrum.
#3 - Just walking out of a class? Without permission? Are you kidding? Where is this school!

yo, I love this show. I adore Amanda Lorber (the EIC) and always root for her. That group just can't stand her awesome female assertiveness! And she is admittedly, shall we say, a bit quirky.

LOVE this show. Thursdays says I'm approachable, because I wear T-shirts, just like everyone else.

Am i the only one who finds that reality tv encourages the participants to be on the their loudest and worst behavior? (Jeez, I've turned into my grandmother!)
