Sweet Sixteen Meltdown

MTV's Sweet Sixteen really knows how to pick 'em. The birthday girl in this episode (identified by the crown on her head, natch) is given a brand new Lexus for turning 15. There's just one problem: it's not the day, time, and exact second of her birthday and she's not in the mood to accept premature gifts right now. So she does what any respectable spoiled brat would do: stomps, screams, cries, cusses, and ultimately calls off the party. You understand.

Wow! I'm never ever seen such an ungrateful brat! For to behave that way is so unacceptable! I really hope that her mother returned that car and that the girl didn't get a party, presents, or anything!

It makes me wonder why parents would even accept that behavior!

This really ticks me off. Drop that child off in an impoverished nation and let her get a dose of what the real world is like, teach her a little gratitude. It's really the parents fault for allowing her to expect that sort of treatment and behave in such a ungrateful way, heck drop them both off.

Unbelievable! I'm stunned and horrified. I totally agree with you, mgratlz & Dorbeebug, her parents should never even once have accepted this type of behavior. I'm sure her behavior is the result of a pattern of escalating tantrums that were not only allowed but also indulged.

They have completely ruined that child-that is beyond horrifying...I agree with Doreebug-she should have to go spend several years serving others in impoverished nations and learn that the universe does not revolve around her nasty little self. She is absolutely repulsive and the parents are not any better-they created that monster.

What a monster! It's probably too late to fix her wretched behavior too. What a shame. I would never curse at my parents like that! Maybe hers deserve it though, I agree with Buffyanne, her parents created let her carry on like that and it's most likely gotten only worse. She deserves a good smack. Maybe seeing her embarassing behavior on national television will help her, it probably won't.

I can't watch videos right now, but I know EXACTLY which scene you're talking about. I was so disgusted by it... there's no way I can watch it again. I would be so embarrassed if I were her or her parents.

I remember the first time I saw this scene. My jaw dropped and I stared blankly for a few minutes. I simply couldn't believe that somebody would act that way.

Well - what a spoiled rotten witch. I was amazed at that temper tantrum. Great job at raising your daughter, mom and dad - that's what happens when you give kids every little thing they want.

Has anyone ever watched the dog whisperer? If so you know it's rarely the dog that is the real problem... Looks like someone created a little spoiled monster.

What a f*cking bratty little b*tch. Nice job, Mom & Pop. I can't believe this kind of thing is glorified on such programs. This show is like a cancer.

If that was my child? Man, they would have to call the police, the FBI, the CIA, Interpol, MI-5, SIS, Scotland Yard and every child protection services known to man, because that little ungrateful rude brat would have been cremated on sight.

I actually saw this one. I wished I could reach through my TV & smack her.

After seeing SOME of the families on the show, I wonder HOW people like this GET money. Seriously??

This is ultimately the parents' fault for not making them understand the majority of people who have nice things have to work their tails off by working on a job (that probably doesn't pay nearly enough) and EARNING their money!

Not only should the parents take back the car, they should cut her off completely! Make her get an actual (gasp!) job! If she really wants that Lexus now, she would have to earn it!

I was just curious as to how she acts if she gets the wrong order at a restaurant or something if this is how she acts when her parents give her a LEXUS at a different time then she wished (And it's not even the car she WANTED)! God forbid!

Wanted to slap the SH*T out of that little girl.

Totally disgusted... ugh. What is our world coming to?

If I even acted a tiny bit like this girl growing up, I would've gotten a quick smack to the face.

Wow, if I acted like, I'd be dead. My parents would've just killed me. They need to make that girl do humanitarian service in Darfur and institutional the parents.

wow, glad mom sent the car back. embarassing. why is this very average looking and trashy sounding girl so impressed with herself? is she on a show, is her dad famous? anyway, looks like she has some maturing to do. maybe a nice job that includes her using phrases like "would you like to supersize that" or a uniform like the ones at, pup on a pole, would help her attitude. i actually wanted to smack her, lol.

And people say it's not good to spank children when they need it. Well, sometimes kids really do need it, and she was probably one of those kids who got a time out when she really need a smack or two across her ass.

@ LoveThoseShoes :: You are damn right; my mother would have locked me and herself into the bathroom and wore my ass OUT for some mess like this. And she wouldn't have taken the car back, she'd have given it to someone who deserved and appreciated it, and made damn sure it was someone I knew so that I'd never forget the lesson learned.
