Well, we all know that The View's Sherri Shepherd can be a bit dense, but in this clip, she comes off as downright mean, when she brings up the fact that her co-host (and former Oscar host) Whoopi Goldberg wasn't featured in last night's montage of hosts. The gals then spend the next two minutes trying to make her feel better, while inevitably just making it worse.

Hmmm... Sherri was dumb for bringin' it up coz that def put Whoopi on the spot like that...and it sucks. It was a dumb thing to say i think...or even be brought up. That was def awkward for Whoopi...

I don't see how it made it worse. It just showed the viewers that an important person in Oscar history was left out.

I think it was great they all stuck up for her and pointed out how historical her presence at the Oscars really was (I didn't know all those things about Whoopi!)

I think it was important to be brought up. Whoopi probably felt the same way while she was watching that montage. She should have been included, and it's unfortunate that she was overlooked.
